Short reviews of 27 books I have read in 2023

I picked up 27 books in 2023 and was able to finish 24 out of them. Here is a list of books I had read in 2023. The list comes with short reviews😊!

Year 2023 was a slow year, there was a long period of time I did not feel like reading anything. I tried to buy more offline book this year and found a few good read. In the last two months of the year I tried squeeze as much as possible and finish quite a few half read books.

So this year my tally is not good😒. Started 27 books and was able to finish only 22. But I have counted my Bengali books as a single book, it had 7 books in total, so if I count them separately then my tally reaches 28, that is not so shabby i guess.

Hope to finish many of my TBR list in 2024. Wish me luck ❤

1. The Alloy of Law: A Mistborn Novel — reread, liked it the same
2. Shadows of Self: A Mistborn Novel — reread, liked it the same
3. The Bands of Mourning: A Mistborn Novel — reread. did not like it that much
4. The Lost Metal: A Mistborn Novel — not good enough for the series ending
5. The Twist of a Knife: Hawthorne, Book 4 — audiobook, a quick one, not much mystery here.
6. Kantay-Kantay (part 1 to 6) and NAGCHAMPA by Narayan Sanyal — Bengali book, finished all the 24 novellas and 1 novel , loved all the stories. ❤
7. Book Lovers: (EMILY HENRY) not as good as Beach Read. It felt like author is describing people she can not relate to.
8. Happy place: (EMILY HENRY) Really boring. it had no story at all.
9. The Paris Apartment : good book, the ending seemed hurried
10. The Guest List : Good
11. The Ogress and the Orphans : lovely book.

13. It Starts With Us : It was good, not awesome like it prequal ‘It ends with us’.
14. The Inheritance Games: The Inheritance Games, Book 1 : Audio book, good
15. The Hawthorne Legacy: The Inheritance Games, Book 2 : Audio book, okish
16. The Final Gambit: The Inheritance Games Book 3 : Audio book, it was average, did not want to continue with the series, so did not read the next book in series.
17. The Family Upstairs : good book, like the way it was written
18. The Hating Game : The movie was better.
19. Dark Matter (Blake Crouch) — till halfway it was an exiting book. after that it was boring.
20. The Bullet That Missed: (The Thursday Murder Club 3) — Not as good as the other two books in the series

22. The Almanack Of Naval Ravikant: A Guide to Wealth and Happiness — It is a very good book.
23. The House of Silk: A Sherlock Holmes Novel: Audio book, got bored in the middle
24. THE ARTIST’S WAY : Started reading, a good book to get unstuck, will go back to it time to time.
25. Aristotle and Dante Dive Into the Waters of the World — still reading
26. A Gentleman in Moscow (Amor Towles) — very boring, could not finish it.
27. Beautiful World, Where Are You (Sally Rooney) — very very boring. still reading
